Alone I can’t, but with God I can!

Mathew 19:26 “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” (NKJV)

In this Scripture, a rich man asks Jesus how he can enter into the Kingdom of God. When Jesus responds that he must sell all that he possesses, the rich man becomes sad and walks away unable to do what Jesus asked. One of the disciples remarks that it seems impossible for anyone to be saved. To which Jesus replied, “with God all things are possible” through our Lord Jesus Christ who is able to restore, heal, overcome, change, fix, and reform our lives. Alone, we are not able to overcome every obstacle, but with God we can!

God helped me to overcome my addiction

God taught me that all things are possible through Him. I should not put my full trust in anyone else including myself. I’ve been through many problems that caused me to turn away from God. I thought I could fix myself and not depend on God. When I believed that my life started to become more out of control. I struggled with an addiction that hurt me and all my relationships. I tried to stop my addiction alone, but it grew worse over time. Nothing changed until I broke down in prayer, and put my life back into God's Hands. I needed to put my trust in God. After that day, God began to fix and reform me, and helped me win and overcome that addiction. The miracle that God did in my life was only possible through Him. He is my Rock and Refuge in times of trouble. He brought me and family through my trial of addiction, and gave me the victory, because WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

Give it to God!

Give God all your sinful ways, all your problems, and your addictions. You can’t overcome them on your own, but with God you can overcome anything. The battle is not yours. The battle belongs to the Lord. Jesus will show you that all things are possible through Him.

Pray this Prayer

Lord, it’s impossible for me to overcome my problems alone. I don’t have the power to defeat them. I give You all of me, and every sin hurting me. I am here, oh Lord, to surrender them to You. I put my trust and faith in You. I trust You can do all things in my life. Amen!
