God Healed Me of Cancer

James 5:15, 16 - Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

As the Community Prayer leader at our local church on Friday nights, I intercede for prayer requests for healing more than any other. Some are healed, but some are not. I often wonder why. James enlightens us that prayers offered in faith unto God are the first step towards healing. Faith is the main ingredient needed for healing to take place. The second step to healing is confession of sin. By confessing our sins, we become totally aligned and positioned with the will, power, and healing of Jesus. The third step is praying for yourself or each other. Finally, we are ready to receive God’s healing virtue into our lives according to His will.

Let me worry about this cancer

In March 2020, my blood labs tested positive for leukemia and lymphoma. When I found out, the peace and power of God came upon me. I told Jesus, that with two cancers, I could do nothing except trust Him. I let my Heavenly Father know that whatever His will was for my life that I would accept it. The cares of this world grew dim. Eventually, I spoke up and said, “I believe whatever the oncologist says, I will accept it. I trust You, and it will be a good report.” Later, the oncologist said, “You worry about getting better, and let me worry about this cancer.” I took it as a word from my Heavenly Father.

Look at what God did!

In April 2020, after some biopsies, the oncologist told me with his head shaking, “You have no idea how lucky you are, and how many people in your position want to hear what I have to say. You do not have any signs of malignant cancer in your body.” As you can see from the pictures above, on 4/16/2020 I was diagnosed with my lymph tests displaying abnormal elevation of 72 and 11. Then, the test results show those same tests as 45 and 4 in June 2020 saying “normal” and “decreased.” God healed me of cancer.

Do you need healing? Have faith that your prayer will be heard. Confess all sins. Pray God’s will be done in your life. He will direct you to healing.

Pray this prayer

Heavenly Father, You are a God of healing. I trust You can heal me. I confess every sin. I want Your will to be done in my life. I ask that Your healing virtue flows into me. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
