Love Sits At The Table
1 John 4:12, NIV: "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."

No one has ever seen Him, but those who love have felt His presence. God dwells amongst those who pursue loving others. His love is made perfect when we choose to love. Faith is perfected by its works and love is perfected by its Root. Love is not just an emotion we randomly process. Love is an essential element that dwells within us and permanently sits at our spiritual table. This alone permits God to dwell amongst us. Love is of the utmost importance.
It Felt Like A Whirlwind
This last week felt like a whirlwind of tragic news and downward spirals. It felt like I was being beaten down by a world of people who say they love me, but show no action. Yet, somehow God reminded me that the love He placed in me to share is just as strong as ever. He reminded me of whom I was inviting to sit at my spiritual table. Whoever sits at the table receives His love and affection through me because I am called to love others. I didn't realize that people were taking seconds, thirds, and fourths without bringing a dish of their own. That is ok. His love overflows. If God is dwelling within us, regardless of what comes our way, we are to serve His love at the table. Some may be dismissed from the table over time, but that does not mean I have to dismiss myself from His love. His love is made perfect through us. Remember, tragedy does not dismiss us from our purpose.
Love Them Anyway
Love them! Love everyone! This is a call to arms. Arm yourself with the love of God. Jesus came to work in faith and operate in love. If that is the case, love your neighbor! Love your enemy. Love, yourself. This is the true message of Jesus Christ. That we should love and be united as one body
Pray This Prayer
Lord, I come to You asking for a new heart; a heart that is filled with love for others and myself. Fill me with the capacity to love the broken hearted and those around me that need to know who You are. Thank You for loving me enough to sit at my table. In Jesus’s name, amen.
