There is still hope!

Hosea 2:15 NIV "There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt."

The Valley of Trouble
Hosea speaks of the Valley of Achor which translated means a valley of severe troubles and affliction. This gloomy gorge was the site of a sinful rebellion against God causing Israel to sin and be defeated by a small army. When we look at the big picture of what is happening in our world today, it seems like we are in a valley of trouble - a world pandemic, financial turmoil, political instabilities, divisions, lies, and hypocrisies. Many of these things have been brought on because of the sinful human nature of man.
A Door of Hope
Though present circumstances seem bleak, God has not left us without an opportunity. He has placed a door of hope in this troubled valley. God has placed the church on this earth to be a beacon - the light of the world, the city on the hill that cannot be hid. The hope that the church offers is Jesus Christ who is the appointed Savior. There is no one else that can rescue humanity from this treacherous valley, but Jesus.
The world will never know His hope until the church decides to be the light that it has been called to be. How do we be this light? We need to be transparent. The word transparent means to be sheer, visible, accessible. A Christian that is transparent is someone who allows their faith in Jesus to be visible to others. Their knowledge and experience with Jesus should be accessible to all those who are seeking. The heart of the Christian must be open allowing God's love to be received by others.
If we are indeed children of light, then there should be nothing hidden about us. Let us offer the greatest hope to this world. Yes, even in the Valley of Trouble, there is hope in Jesus Christ.

Amen! Jesus is the Hope for this dark valley at this time in our lives, country, world!
