Peace in the Waiting
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God…”
Be still and know that I am God, is more than words in a book. It is more than a quote you have displayed in your home. They are eight words, with one declaration. Let go, and let God.

He did it again!
This scripture is my life anthem, and this testimony is one of the reasons why. In October 2020, my husband and I listed our house for sale. Within two days, we received multiple offers. On the fifth day, we accepted an offer, and opened escrow. Ecstatic, scary, and
emotional, we knew there was no turning back. We began to look at homes not knowing how difficult it was going to be to find our forever home. We put multiple offers, received multiple counter offers, and still no home. On January 5, 2021, we put an offer on a house on “G Street.” Our offer was not accepted, but we were second in line if the escrow fell through. Each week that passed, we inquired about the status of “G Street,” and each time it was still active under contract. We knew it would not be ours. I began to question our decision. Was selling our house that God blessed us with the right choice? Should I go back to work after God made a way for me to be a stay at home mother? Why God? Anger, resentment, and frustration began to weigh me down. One night, as my family was asleep, I kneeled before God, and with tears streaming down my cheeks, I asked God to give me peace in the waiting. Two days later, we received a call from our agent and she said, “Guess what came available?” My husband yelled “G Street!” and she said “Yes!” We cried, and we thanked God. He did it again!
I don’t know what situation you find yourself in today, but I encourage you to ask God to give you peace in the waiting, and let Him surprise you with the impossible.
Pray this prayer
God, I know it’s not easy to wait. And, with everything we have endured this past year it almost seems unfair to wait. But, they are Your plans are not ours. And Your ways are perfect. I may not always understand why, but I trust Your will. Give me peace in the waiting and help my heart to be still, because I know you are God!
